Ok, here we go again posting job opportunities for Pinoys who want to work abroad especially in Europe. Latest news on employment has it that the Department of labor and Employment in the Philippines is finding ways for OFWs to gain employment in European countries. For the weary Filipino jobseekers, this update is a good news once more since if more jobs for Pinoys can be created in Europe, more OFWs will benefit since many find Europe a better destination than countries in the Middle East. The Taiwanese government and Filipinos (Pinoys) in Lebanon gave support to the victims of Typhoon Frank by sending money to the Philippines through Philippine government agencies. This show of support has been much-needed especially in Iloilo where Typhoon Frank hit hard.
As a Pinoy, I have always been on these things because whether the victims are from Ilocos Norte or not, it somewhat hurts to see my countrymen suffering.

Urduja the Movie is the latest and definitely the best animated film ever made and produced by Filipinos whose quality is comparable to animated movies made in Hollywood. Urduja is a full-length cartoon movie every Filipino will enjoy watching. I was really amazed with Urduja’s special effects. It’s quite different from earlier Pinoy-made cartoons like Panday and Captain Barbel.

Rudy Fernandez is dead. Yes, that is true. This came to me as a shocking news – Rudy Fernandez died today at age 55! Rudy Fernandez is one Filipino actor I practically grew up with as a kid who loved watching action movies. He died after suffering from seizure yesterday that was most likely the effect of his chemotherapy. He suffered from cancer prior to his death and a series of chemotherapy treatment was in order considering his condition.

Brandon Vera, the only Filipino fighter in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is going to take part in UFC 85 to be held in London, England. Many Filipino fight fans like those rooting for the Pacquiao vs. Diaz Fight in Las Vegas will soon be given another good treat with a combination of punches, kicks and exciting moves in the world of Mixed Martial Arts in UFC 85 showcasing Filipinos’ very own Brandon Vera whose fight with Tim Sylvia was a disappointment.

It seems that this year (2008) is a good year for Pinoy OFWs. This is because more job opportunities await Filipino workers including nurses and nursing graduates in Canada and the United Kingdom. A group of Canadian employers expressed their intention to hire more Pinoy OFWs. Recruitment will be done through licensed recruitment agencies and jobseekers will pay no placement fee.

My wife had this distinct attachment with the Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus series on ABS-CBN. She was in fact the one who encouraged me to blog report about the latest updates on the reality show Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus.

Madonna Decena did not qualify for the finals of Britain’s Got Talent 2008. Madonna Decena followed the footsteps of Charlie Green who has been eliminated from BGT earlier this week. This might sound terrible but Madonna and the Decena family are already happy with her achievement in Britain’s Got Talent competition despite her elimination from the contest.
