Miss North Carolina USA 2009 Kristen Dalton was hot in the news for two days after she won the title as Miss USA 2009. But her fame was immediately replaced by a more spicy and volcanic news about Miss USA 2009 first runner-up’s controversy. Miss California USA 2009 Carrie Prejean has somewhat literally snatched the fame from Miss USA 2009 as she’s all over the news today. Carrie Prejean was controversial for her answer at the Q&A of Miss USA 2009 and Perez Hilton’s outrageous video blog attack on her. Miss USA 2009 first runner up – Miss California Carrie Prejean lost the crown for being honest. Aside from Miss USA 2009 Top 10, there were also two Miss USA 2009 candidates who received special awards. These two Miss USA 2009 special awards chose Miss Photogenic and Miss Congeniality. The special award of Miss Congeniality was won by Miss Wyoming Cynthia Pate. While Miss Photogenic was taken by Miss West Virginia Jessi Pierson.
