American Idol Season 7 Update: Elimination Results – The pretty rocker, Carly Smithson, was eliminated from the American Idol 2008 today, April 23. She sang Jesus Christ Superstar with a bang. Unluckily, the voters didn’t give her the chance to show more of her explosive performance. The results of the voting this week (38 million plus) was not favorable to Carly Smithson despite her great performance.

Fans of the American Idol Season 7 would be happy to see and hear Carly Smithson sing “Jesus Christ Superstar”, a Broadway material penned by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Carly Smithson was truly amazing in her rendition of a Broadway musical piece. The song actually blended well with Carly’s powerful voice. Jesus Christ Superstar + Carly Smithson = a hit.
