I have seen the American Idol 2008 Finals a couple of times tonight where David Cook emerged as a winner. What amazed me was the presence of Renaldo Lapuz in the American Idol 2008 Finals Night. Renaldo Lapuz is the Pinoy who auditioned earlier in the competition but did not get the approval of the judges. However, the judges and American Idol executives must have liked him and so they gave him a slot to perform on stage during the American Idol 2008 Finals Night.

Jason Castro was eliminated tonight, May 7/8, 2008, from the American Idol Season 7.  This could be due to the fact that he forgot some lines of the song Mister Tambourine Man.  Jason Castro really deserved to be eliminated becasue his competition showed very strong performances especially David Archuleta and Syesha Mercado.  Jason has got talents and I’m sure he’ll get over his elimination from the American Idol.

American Idol Season 7 Update: Elimination Results - The pretty rocker, Carly Smithson, was eliminated from the American Idol 2008 today, April 23. She sang Jesus Christ Superstar with a bang. Unluckily, the voters didn’t give her the chance to show more of her explosive performance. The results of the voting this week (38 million plus) was not favorable to Carly Smithson despite her great performance.

The American Idol voted off Kristy Lee Cook on April 16, leaving the Top 6 lonely because of the friendship and bonding they have developed with each other. The Top 6 American Idol contestants remaining are Jason Castro, Carly Smithson, Syesha Mercado, David Cook, David Archuleta and Brooke White.

Ramielle Malubay of the American idol finally sang goodbye as she was voted out by text voters all over America. She mustn’t have impressed more than 30 million text voters all over the nation as she received the lowest number of votes out of the Top 9 American Idol wannabes.

The incident really saddened me and the whole Filipino nation as she has been idolized right from Day 1 of the American idol competition.
