Manny Villar resigned today as the Senate President of the Philippines. Manny Villar was replaced as Senate president by Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile who gained approval from the majority of senators on the floor. Manny Villar is a presidential candidate for the automated 2010 presidential elections and has accounts with various social networks. In addition, Pulse Asia’s survey that he is already number 2 in their nationwide survey. It must have affected his colleagues’ earlier decision to oust him as Senate President.
Manny Villar’s word war with Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson ignited this incident. If you can recall, not so long ago, the two senators have crossed swords because of a business deal which involved Villar in the transaction. I’ll have to check my facts and update this at a later time. In the meantime, Senator Ping Lacson is also running for president in the 2010 elections.

Expected na tong mangyayari. Wala nang pupuntahan ang pagiging Senate President ni Manny Villar. Pagbutihin na lang nya ang pagkampanya sa 2010 election.
