This news about spa business in the Philippines got me interested. Partly, this explains why even in Ilocos Norte, my home province, spas are everywhere especially in hotels and entertainment centers. As a writer who deals with health topics and issues in one of my other sites, I strongly believe that this business can prosper even in areas outside the Greater Manila Area (GMA).

An excerpt from Manila Bulletin stated that the busy lifestyles of many Filipinos and their awareness to the benefits of spa treatments have greatly contributed to the boom of spa establishments in the country.
“People who go to spa want a feel-good therapy,” says Karen Dalagan, Marketing Manager of FSalon and Body Spa.

Moreover,

FSalon equips itself with salon and spa knowledge and innovations to provide utmost services to people. And to cater to the varying spa needs of its clients, it is open to adapting new spa services such as the White Flower Therapy.

“We are open to new ideas and offerings. We can consider including White Flower therapy in our array of services once we have tested it and passed our criterion. It’s a good way to go beyond the basics and expand our core services,” Karen relates.

White Flower Therapy involves the use of White Flower Oil and the power of touch in alleviating common body pains and improving general health.

White Flower is a powerful formula of essential oils of eucalyptus, lavender, and peppermint. According to Karen, White Flower therapy can be a viable service in FSalon since it uses mint and other oils known for their comforting and stress-relieving effects.

Karen shares, “Some of our customers prefer “minty” oils to experience a cooling effect after a spa treatment.”

To Filipino entrepreneurs who intend to delve into a new business venture, I think a spa is a good candidate.
