The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will come to the Philippines, Dana White (UFC President) announced at the post-fight conference of UFC 85. This is in response to Filipino fighter Brandon Vera’s complaint about the premature stoppage by the referee during Vera’s fight with Fabricio Werdum.

I agree with Brandon Vera. He was still very much strong, fighting and defending well while he was being mounted by Fabricio Werdum. The decision was controversial but Dana White stated that he was not the referee and the stoppage was the ref’s call. Other UFC fans also viewed the fight the same as I do, a UFC fanatic for more than 8 years now. I really think Brando Vera was given a few more seconds before the ref stopped the fight.
