I’ve been watching the reality show of Playboy owner, Hugh Hefner, on cable featuring gorgeous girls in the Mansion. The reality show is such an awesome sight, not just for men but also for women. It showcases not just bodies but brains and talents of Playboy Playmate wannabes. I’m so glad my favorite model Jayde Nicole was crowned Playmate of the Year for 2008. Jayde Nicole is deserving. She’s got the looks, talent, built and charisma to pose for Playboy magazine - a name recognized worldwide.

Personally, I’d like to see Jayde Nicole succeed just like Pamela Anderson and Carmen Electra. Although these women have started their careers in the adult industry, they ended pretty well in some movies and TV shows like “Baywatch” and “Baywatch Hawaii” - two of the most successful shows in television history.

Canadian model Jayde Nicole was crowned Playboy’s Playmate of the Year for 2008 at Hugh Hefner’s mansion on Thursday.

The 22-year-old brunette received a 2008 Cadillac CTS and a check for $100,000 from Hugh Hefner at a party announcing her win.

The model told AP Entertainment she was not a Playboy fan at first.

“I have been modelling ever since I was very young I stopped for a bit and started again when I was sixteen and as soon as I turned eighteen I had people starting to ask me ‘you have got to do Playboy, you have got to do Playboy’ and I was like, ‘no, no’ I am a conservative person and I was a little bit nervous I had never really seen one,” said Jayde Nicole. “So finally when I was a little bit older someone was like… you have to just look at one. Look at what the Playmates look like, look at how it is shot and then decide. I went ahead I bought one, I looked at it. I thought the Playmates were done so beautifully so classy and then Playboy gave me a call. Someone submitted my photos and the rest is history.”

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner has long been famous not just for the empire he has built but for lifestyle, and the numerous women that have surrounded him.

The 82-year-old, who is known for his preference of American blondes, explains how this year’s winner is a bit different for the norm.

What I like about photos in big magazines like Playboy, Maxim and Vogue is the photography. I love photography and I’ve always been dreaming of becoming a professional photographer using the latest digital cameras.
