Ruffa Gutierrez Ready for Annulment

The whilrwind relationhip of Ruffa Gutierrez and estranged husbang Yilmaz Bektas (a Turkish) prompted Ruffa Gutierrez to file an annulment of their marriage. Ruffa Gutierrez, by the way is a former Binibining Pilipinas World in 1993.

In the early days of her Philippine showbiz career, Ruffa Gutierrez appeared in movies such as: Huwag kang hahalik sa diablo (1989), Regal Shocker: The Movie (1989) …. (segment “Aparador”) … aka Regal Shocker: The Movie (Philippines: English title), Si Malakas at si Maganda (1989) …. Rhoa, Me and Ninja Liit (1988) …. Yoning, Sheman: Mistress of the Universe (1988) …. Tina … aka Pandoy, Lahing pikutin (1987) … aka Lahing pikutin, Mga (Philippines: Tagalog title), I Love You 3X a Day (1982) … aka I Heart You 3X a Day (Philippines: English title). She also co-hosted “GMA Supershow” (1979).

The following is the interview of ABS-CBN reporter Manila P. Santos with Ruffa Gutierrez:

Despite a hectic schedule taping “I Love Betty La Fea” all week, a stunning Ruffa Gutierrez still found time to grace the recent Randy Ortiz Metrowear show “Aspirer” held at the Edsa Shangri-la last September 4.

The Buzz host answered questions regarding the status of her marriage with estranged husband Yilmas Bektas, who is based in Turkey.

“Matagal na kaming walang communication ni Yilmaz. It’s been more than a month and mula ng may na-link sa akin na isang basketball player, nagkaroon kami ng parang falling out. Pero in-explain ko naman sa kanya na kung ipagpapalit ko naman siya, if ever, ipagpapalit ko siya sa pagmamahal at pagbabantay ko sa mga anak ko.

“Kasi as of now talaga, ang daming panahon na linaan ko sa love life ko. I think now, I should concentrate really on my career. At wala naman talagang interesting dito. Meron ba?” she says to the press at the red carpet.

The former beauty queen and resident kontrabida to the much-awaited series “I Love Betty La Fea” admits she has now accepted the fact that her marriage will not end in reconciliation after all. In fact, Ruffa wants to be the one to file for annulment in the near future.
