I have tried this a few times myself - looking up people’s names in public databases. It’s a lot easier to locate people in the US because of the availability of records from many sources. However, outside the United States, looking for people just seems so difficult.
People Search can be very helpful especially if the person is important to you and you need to contact him/her as soon as possible. Let us say you have a long lost relative abroad and you want to rekindle your closeness or just inform him/her of recent events in your place. In the Philippines, this is very beneficial because I know a lot of people whose relatives abroad cannot be located or contacted.
