Rodolfo Jun Lozada is blogging! Yes folks, according to abs-cbnNEWS.com, Jun Lozada started his own blog recently. This could be brought about by the popularity of Brian Gorrell’s blog and the obvious influence and power of blogs to reach out to a wider audience especially the youth.
For those who are not in the know, Rodolfo “Jun” Lozada Jr., the primary witness in the Senate inquiry on the National Broadband Network (NBN) scandal, has brought his crusade for truth in cyberspace.
Lozada led the launching of his blog (http://jlozada.com) in Quezon City Saturday that was attended by members of Bloggers’ Kapihan, a youth organization that initiated his first online journal.
In his blog, Lozada said he would discuss his experiences and the challenges he faced after linking resigned Commission on Elections chairman Benjamin Abalos Sr. and First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo to the alleged irregularities in the scrapped $329 million NBN project.
But instead of regularly discussing the NBN issue, Lozada said he prefers to share the human interest and behind-the-scene stories that are not reported by “mainstream media.”
“Kasi usually naman, ‘yon mostly ang discussion namin ng mga kabataan. Ang tanong nila sa akin, primarily the things that I’m going through, what are the things that I’m learning through this. Karamihan na tinatanong sa akin, bakit ko ginawa. So, hindi related sa NBN-ZTE mismo,” he said.
Lozada said he would write his reflections as he goes around schools and communities in his “truth caravan.”
“As time will allow it, I’ll do my best to update the blog. Anyway, as I said, marami akong oras ngayon na pinipigilan ang paggalaw ko. So, at least ito, mapapatunayan na mahirap patahimikin ang katotohanan talaga,” he said.
Blogging is another way for Lozada to reach out to the youth as well as young professionals and overseas Filipino workers.
“This is a good medium actually to reach out to the rest of the Filipino people,” he said.
