Thelma Houston was born as Thelma Jackson in May 7, 1943 at Leland, Mississippi. She started off her career as an artist in 1966 and is still active at present. Performing has really been a part of Thelma Houston’s life.
Last night, Thelma Houston was invited on American Idol April 22, 2009 results show after the Idol Disco Night performances. Thelma Houston is one among many disco icons. She was a guest performer of American Idol Disco Results Night wherein American Idol made a double elimination. Thelma Houston was one among three disco icons invited on American Idol Season 8. The others were Freda Payne and Harry Wayne Casey (KC and The Sunshine Band).
